Many owner’s manuals list high temperatures, dusty roads, short trips and long idling in traffic as severe or harsh operating conditions, with shorter intervals for oil and filters. We check what your manual says for those conditions and tell you plainly whether your car falls under them — no upselling of items that are not due.
