What our auto electricians test and repair

A dead battery is the most common electrical problem in Dubai, but it is often a symptom rather than the cause. Our auto electrician work covers the whole 12-volt system:

Why car batteries die faster in Dubai

Heat is hard on a car battery. Under the bonnet in a Dubai summer, the chemical wear inside the battery speeds up, so a battery that would last longer in a cooler country can weaken sooner here. Other habits add to it: short trips that never fully recharge the battery, cars left parked for weeks while the owner travels, and accessories such as dash cameras that draw current while the car is parked.

A weak battery often gives little warning. A slower crank on a hot afternoon, a stop-start system that stops working, or new warning lights after the car has been parked can all point to it.

The 4 checks we do before replacing a battery

  1. Battery test — state of health and state of charge with a battery tester, not a guess from its age.
  2. Charging voltage — what the alternator delivers with the engine running and the loads switched on.
  3. Parked drain — the current the car draws when locked; a high drain flattens even a new battery.
  4. Terminals and earth cables — corrosion or a loose earth can look exactly like a dead battery.

If the battery passes and the fault is elsewhere, we tell you — and you keep your battery.

How we work

1. InspectComputer scan of every module and the four battery checks. Free full inspection — written report.
2. Written reportWhat we measured and what we found, in Arabic or English.
3. Quote and your approvalAn itemized quote with genuine or OEM-equivalent parts, your choice. Nothing starts without your approval.
4. Repair and hand-overWe do only the approved work, register the battery where the car needs it, and give you back the old parts.

Our team speaks Arabic and English, and the owner is on the workshop floor. We stand behind our work.

Which cars we work on

American, European, Japanese, Korean and Chinese makes — petrol, diesel and hybrid. On hybrids we work on the 12-volt battery and electrical system. Fully electric cars get bodywork, paint and non-electrical repairs only, with no battery or electrical work; see what we do and don’t do.

Car battery and electrical — quick answers

Do you replace batteries at my location?

No. We test and replace batteries at our workshop in Al Quoz. If the car will not start, we can arrange recovery to our workshop through our towing partner during working hours.

Does my new battery need to be registered?

On many modern cars, including many BMW, Audi and Mercedes models, the car monitors its battery and adjusts charging to it. A new battery must be registered to the car, and we do this with our diagnostic equipment.

Which battery do you fit?

One that matches the size, type (standard, EFB or AGM) and capacity your manufacturer specifies for the car. The battery type is written on the quote before we fit it.

My battery keeps going flat. Will a new battery fix it?

Not always. A battery that goes flat again and again can be a sign of a charging fault or of something drawing current while the car is parked. We test the charging system and the parked drain before we suggest a new battery.

Do you work on electric and hybrid cars?

We do no battery or electrical work on fully electric cars. On petrol, diesel and hybrid cars we work on the 12-volt battery and electrical system.

Is the inspection free?

Yes. Free full inspection — written report. You get the findings and an itemized quote before any work starts, and nothing is done without your approval.
