What a ceramic coating does — and what it does not

A nano ceramic coating is a liquid that bonds to the clear coat of your paint and hardens into a thin, glossy layer. If you are comparing ceramic coating Dubai options, start with what it can honestly do for a car parked in Dubai:

What it does not do: it is not armour. A stone chip on the highway or a key scratch in a car park will still mark the paint, and the coating does not remove marks that are already there. That is why preparation matters more than the bottle.

How a ceramic coating job runs at Velokar

1. Paint inspection

We look at every panel under bright, even workshop light. Swirls, light scratches, old repairs, chips and hazy patches are noted and shown to you, so you know what you are starting with.

2. Wash and decontamination

The car is washed by hand, then the paint is cleaned of what a normal wash leaves behind — tar, iron dust from brakes and bonded dirt — so the coating bonds to clean clear coat.

3. Polishing, only where needed

A coating locks in whatever is underneath it. If the paint has swirls or light scratches you want gone, we polish first and write down which panels need it. If the paint is already in good condition, we do not polish it for the sake of it.

4. Panel wipe and coating

The polish oils are wiped off so nothing sits between paint and coating. The coating is then applied panel by panel, in protection layers where the product calls for it, and levelled by hand.

5. Curing and hand-over

The coating needs time to cure before it gets wet or dirty, so we tell you when the car will be ready and how to treat it in the first days. You get a written record of the work done.

Caring for a coated car in Dubai

A coating is only as good as the way the car is washed afterwards. For long term results:

Ceramic coating with the rest of our paint work

Ceramic coating is one part of the exterior care we offer: see what we do and don’t do. If a panel has a dent, a deep scratch or a poor old repair, fix it before it is coated — our denting and painting is done in our own paint booth, colour-matched to the factory paint code. Buying a used car you want to coat? Book a pre-purchase inspection first, so you know what is under the shine.

We coat daily drivers and luxury cars alike — from family SUVs to Porsche, Bentley and Rolls-Royce — and the preparation is the same for every car.

Ceramic coating — quick answers

Is ceramic coating the same as wax?

No. Wax sits on top of the paint and washes away quickly in Dubai sun and dust. A ceramic coating bonds to the clear coat and forms a harder, longer-lasting layer. We also offer waxing and polishing if you only want a quick refresh.

Will a ceramic coating stop scratches and stone chips?

No. It makes the paint easier to clean and better at resisting water spots, bird droppings and fading, but a stone chip or a key scratch will still mark the paint. We tell you this before you agree, not after.

Do I need paint correction first?

Only if the paint has swirls or light scratches you want removed — a coating locks in whatever is underneath. We inspect the paint in bright light, show you what we see, and write down whether polishing is needed and why.

Can you coat a new car?

Yes. New cars often arrive with marks from transport and handling, so we still inspect and clean the paint first, and polish only where it is needed.

Is the inspection free?

Yes. Free full inspection — written report. You get the findings and a written quote before any work starts, and nothing is done without your approval.

Do you offer pickup and delivery?

Yes, pickup and delivery are available within Dubai. Send your car model and location on WhatsApp 054 666 4838 and we arrange it. We are open Monday to Saturday, 8:30 AM–6:30 PM, and closed on Sunday.
